Hi,
I am doing a job for a client. I have done his e-commerce site and i have him on a retainer to do some SEO. The other day my client's GF gets an unsolicited email (through the site i presume) offering SEO work. Anyway, long story short. My client didn't consult me and he has now paid £600 (1000$) for an 'SEO' package that consists of 6 months work. 300 directory submissions, 1 article (submitted to 50 directories) and 75 social bookmarks. That's it. Not bad work if you can get it, right!?
Anyway, he sent the £600 up front via bank transfer so no paypal chargbacks etc... I am just wondering if he has any legal right to get his money back.. what the situation is... I think this is a legit UK company. Any ideas? Is there like a cooling off period? No contracts have been signed or anything.
p.s. if this was you - fair play but i could have used that money to make the site and SEO 10x better and made myself famous. No hard feelings! lol
Thanks in advance.
