Anyone else get killed today in the stock market? Wow, I'm glad I pulled most of my stuff out last year... Wonder if it's going to continue tomorrow.
 


Yeah I quit stocks a few months ago. Takes a good amount of work if you want to get wealthy from it. But if you want to put money away for a rainy day, they're definitely the way to go over other investment opportunities.

it's gonna be bad tomorrow too. gold down too, although bonds seem to have catched some of the liquidity.

i've seen some broke traders on the floor today but those were way outnumbered by those that were partying. going short was the motto of the week and for some of them it really paid out.

it is just fucking bad for all those private investors, which somehow never tend to go for falling markets but always bet bullish.
 
I've read a few articles in the Economist the past few weeks about something being long overdue. Last weeks issue was pointing out we've had the longest run without a major decline in decades. I'm not suprised in the least. I've been 100% cash, with a tiny bit in a retirement fund.
