Ok so i was 1 of players, i did finish the game before all this happened aka killed all bosses and Diablo on Inferno. actually its kinda good i got banned coz i would play more than work even tho i already completed game.. - no sense at all.
Heres how Blizzard acts tho, and i think this can save you a bit of money and its an interesting case how companies take 'way of business' from Google or Paypal.
Shortly for lazy people: they ban you after noticing dedication to game [aka ur using their servers hardcore] and tell you to buy 2nd copy. They dont tell you reasons just tell you theres no way to get money back.
if u are a player u already know what server/game fixing issues they have, so thats why they started to take such actions to make up their costs and load.
Heres how the thing works:
1. they seek for dedicated [playing daily] players of 25+ years old
2. player has to have at least 1 successful sale in RMAH [aka sell some weapon for real money]
3. need to play for 30 days,
4. player gets instant ban [even tho they claim they send few notifications but that never happends]
5. they tell the player he can buy new copy but theres no way to get back old account or get refund
you think its good? it gets better.
they have special deal with paypal, none payment you make to blizzard from paypal can be claimed.
simply u cannot fill a claim for blizzard. its bilizzard who decides if you get refund or not - not even paypal!
in my case they say i used 3rd party software in the game, which is not true.
i doubt its real case but if so then you can get banned for running any software i nbackground which i not firefox.
on my 'game comp' i dont run special seo software like xrumer, mass prestige poster, pintensify or so.
so it means (if they dont lie about program usage) that something like antivirus, scrapebox, CPVlab monitor, evernote, pidgin or even skype not running on port 80 may make you banned and loose money.
funniest thingthey are rude enoug ht osay you can buy enw copy and they will not tell why you are exactly suspended.
speaking shortly - if you dont want to feed their pockets i suggest to skip Blizzard as they want to just make extra money after selling 1payment product. that was their business model now they try to make up for it.
for people more interested heres few mails from them, really funny imo. i had this mailign going from 3 weeks but no need to put all the 'automated google reply' style stuff here.
there is also famous case of blizzard banning 100% linux users because they dont like the system. money were not given back to anybody. Blizzard Perma-Bans Linux Users From Diablo 3, Lets Botters Continue To Play

And here is their 'fix':

If you choose to continue playing Blizzard games in the future and are concerned about the possibility of a repeat of this situation, I would strongly advise running our games with only the minimum possible applications running in the background.
