Blog Farms / Mass Wordpress Setups

Tell you what, I'll do 500 sites for $1000. Yes, I'm kidding. However, I won't let you rip off newbies either.

To anyone, look for wordpress mass installer scripts n google, read reviews, and pick one if you need this kind of bulk. Hella cheaper AND has more options / features than this offer too.

If (s)he really does what (s)he said, this is not that expensive. Something between $15 and $20 per hour. However, let's suppose a 1000-blogs order, 35 minutes per blog: this is 583 hours (about 3 months and half of a boring and repetitive job)... 4 orders and his year is full... Hmm I can't imagine someone installing blogs all the year long. But he may exist.

I can build 1000 blogs in 35 minutes dude, 35 minutes per blog? LOL. You go ahead and stay small time while we make the real money.

BTW, the 1000 blogs can be built using 100 random themes, 15 auto-installed plugins, etc.

I said its for people not wanting to use mass installer programs and/or wanted sites built that are somewhat quality.

But hey Im getting flamed, so forget it.

So I guess you tried both. How much higher is the ROI of a custom install blog? What about the following posts?
I think comatose brings some interesting questions. Maybe to spend some time for a better install and first post gives good results. Or maybe not... Any experience?

I've never used mass installers so cant make comparisons in terms of ROI.
Call me weird, I just think its well worth the time/cost of setting up decent looking/optimized blogs rather than a standard install. It certainly can't hurt anyway..

Scott is right, I can't set up 1000 blogs in half an hour. But I don't want to do that.. each to their own I guess. I just thought I would offer this service to anyone interested. I thought the prices were quite low actually once you round it to an hourly rate - I've definitely never worked for such a low amount before but wanted to offer something here (shame it backfired).

coma - part of the problem is that IMers making lots of money have probably already figured out a system to fit their needs. and those IMers making little money or just getting started, don't have that much money to throw into this.

I don't see what the problem is here, comatose has posted a legit service in the correct forum and just got absolutely slated.

People say they can do it better/quicker/cheaper - but no one actually says how!!

You could be spot on there jened.

I kind of expected that, being new here and all.
The offer is still going to be there if anyone wants to take it up. Personally I think its a very cheap way of setting up something that can quite possibly earn you thousands per year, if Jon's blog post is anything to go by.

Just out of interest, which mass installers have you guys used? Is this one any good?Mass Install Wordpress Blogs

Also, the majority of these splogs won't earn much - although there's always a few that do well - so automation is key for ROI rather than expensive outsourcing. In fact, a better option is to invest in scripts that automate splog installation, content creation and promotion.

Yep I get ya.
Maybe i am behind then.... maybe i should have been using auto installers.. I had never found one that did anything beyond just installing a base copy of wordpress and thats it.
Now that I've actually researched a little more, well I can see where you're coming from now.
I just signed up for the freebie at wordpressbuilder.com - will be interested to see how that works out.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. After researching mass installation, look into auto content-creation (there's several plugins that can do this), then self-promotion (how splogs can promote themselves).

Im aware of auto content creation (i prefer not to use that), but not familiar with auto promotion unless you mean auto directory submissions etc
