this is my first real attempt to serious internet marketing so bear with me if I sound idiot
I have a wordpress site where I post some articles about a certain niche and drop some affiliate links straight into the article text.
do you suggest me to add banners too? (not in the middle of the text obviously, just top, bottom or sidebar)
imagine there's an article promoting the xxx product by the yyy company, do you think a banner of that company would detract from the article's credibility? would people think "how the heck this guy is posting his experiences with the product and the same company advertises on his shitty page"???

I'd stay away from banners, in my opinion. Focus on your content and keep with the text links. This all can depend on your niche though. Share with us your topics/categories and we can offer better advice.

from my experience i noticed that a lot of people keep clicking on banners, especially if they are well done.

DAMN I sound like a broken record a broken record cord cord.....

This is one of the easiest things to test. Quit overthinking shit and just fucking test. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks. They don't have your blog on your niche, only you do. Therefore, only what YOU do matters.

After testing banners vs google ads vs yahoo ads vs nothing vs whateverthefuck, month after month (one month per test and if your traffic is great, 1 week tests), you'll have your answer.

Each niche has their own demographic of people. Certain demographics love banners, others love google/yahoo ads, and others love to join newsletters, submit their emails, zip codes, etc.

I am sure any experienced marketer will agree. The #1 tip of even a $1,000,000 limited supply ebook would be, fucking test and test... then test some more.

this is so true... to many people are looking for all the answers...
