FYI, if you're running the Bob Greene diet offer through Copeac, like I *was*, they just announced a ban on search/ppc traffic.

Dammit, I was actually converting on that one.

Edit: Update, they just clarified that you *can* run ppc, just not directly to the merchant.

F*** THEM!

I just don't get what's inside these affiliate managers heads. Do they want others to SELL FOR THEM or not? Even with those allowing PPC, they have tons of restrictions, protected/non-compete keywords, display URL, ...
Some are just impossible to work with.

Move on to the next one.

Next!

James

Huh?

It's not Copeac's fault, try blaming the company that's running the offer & if you didn't see it coming with the high restrictions on it from the start...well. People probably didnt' pay attention to the PPC restriction and it had to be stop completely. Dunno. Next.

Guys,

The email notice that went out wasnt descriptive enough, You can run PPC but not directly to the offer.

hope that clarifies things, and sorry for the miscommunication

I did not blame Copeac at all. It has nothing to do with them.

just got this:
To clarify, the Bob Greene offer may be promoted via search / PPC methods, as long as it is NOT driving the user directly to the campaigns landing page. Additionally, there is No Bidding on Branded terms, including misspellings of these terms, this also includes Oprah and misspellings and variations. This includes no bidding on: Bob Greene, Best Life, etc or misspellings of these terms. If you have any questions contact your affiliate manager.
