I've been watching/reading a bit of material about the stock market/dot com/real estate bubble/burst, but most of it is on the surface. I'd like to know more about them but don't want to just go out any buy any biased book on the topic.

Any books that people here would recommend? Thanks.

Ritholz column on "The Big Lie" is an interesting read though everything he does is biased. He also ignores factors about CRA and bank underwriting policies that I know inimately having worked at the bank.

Either way, it is important to see opposing views, even though his arguments fall short. They are influential.
Ritholz ColumnToday's paper

His stat's on it being a worldwide credit bubble and not just a housing bubble is interesting also.

Be certain to understand the Clinton deregulation of Commodity Futures Modernization Act and the impact it had.

I don't have a book for you, but these are things less mentioned and yet very important to keep in mind while readin gothers views.
