On a beach somewhere :)
Hey Guys

Im fairly new to this industry. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a business degree and to be honest, i really didn't want to be part of the whole rat race. The corporate gig just doesn't seem to be for me.

So instead i got into affiliate marketing. I made a nice bit of money with Wu Yi using a bridge page to presell the offer, but the traffic for that is dying down.
I need to diversify but i am not sure where to start.

Do you guys direct link when finding a profitable campaign, then build a bridge page to increase conversions?
I dont have any design skills so it will be pretty expensive every time i need to test an offer to pay someone to build a bridge page.

With thousands upon thousands of offers, im really at a lost for what to test...Can someone share their system?

Any advice? And please go easy on me...im just trying to make some cash in this crazy world of online marketing..

on a side note..I'd also love for the opportunity to meet with some people in the GTA region to bounce ideas off of. pm me if your interested

All the best guys and thanks for your input

-Andrew

well some offers do a lot better and really can be sold through a landing page while others dont need them

It just depends on the offer. Do your usual testing by direct linking and if the campaign looks profitable then test the use of a bridge page.

There are some pretty good designers around WF with relatively cheap prices for LPs.

You could also start to learn how to design...

^^^ yeah as above plus you should factor in how general your traffic is. for me the more general the more a presell is required but really the only way to tell is to test. quickly whack up 10 or so campaigns direct linked, see what works out then try split testing landing pages to improve conversion rates. don't overlook a campaign if direct linking doesn't work AND the traffic is there but in this case check out what your competition is doing and rinse repeat.

maybe all you need is a "WARNING. do not buy!" to make your campaign profitable ;)

I like to set up a site that's strictly a place to dump my test pages. I'll create maybe a dozen presell pages pointing to different products - usually a mixture of Clickbank ebook stuff and regular physical goods because in my opinion you really need to be in both markets. Set up exterior links from third party sites (articles directories, blogs, squidoo lenses, etc.) pointing to the presell pages to drive some organic traffic and also do some PPC if you want. Test conversions.

If you have a high page rank site you can throw presell pages up on it works even better because Google will come around and give your pages good organic rankings if you're careful to use your keywords within the presell page.
