Went for the first time earlier in the year, was shit. Guess if you have enough pals for a piss up it could be aight though.

Any big industry thought leaders generous enough to enlighten the attendees with their wisdom this time round?

If there's one thing I can never get enough of it's actionable SEO tips from people who are undeniably brilliant minds. I for one can never keep up with the constant change of on-page ranking factors so it's a good thing that these guys distill me with such information every 6 months or so.

Not to mention their approach to outreach and linkbuilding. Some of them even use plugins for Gmail, and this thing called Buzzsumo which allows you to endlessly come up with really creative content ideas.

Also, I was always under the impression that Scrapebox was a one way ticket to a Google-slap but apparently it has whitehat uses. This was probably one of the more edgy talks in recent years, and it certainly divided the room when I was there!

Anything on page speed optimisation? I heard the other day Google says this is an important ranking factor?

^ hate to really sound like a wet fart, but not much has changed over the years. Aside from Google being more aggressive with their filters, etc...

If I want to stay up to date on any of the latest SEO developments, I just read some of CCarter posts, Grindstone's rants and the occasional unknown poster who comes out of the woodwork with a polarizing idea or thought.

Even then, I just continue deploying strategies I learned when I started back in 2011, amazing that the more I follow what I learned when I first started, the better results I get.

Yeah, with a few duds here and there, that's just SEO, yo.

"God bless you" for giving a sincere answer.

I was taking the piss, sorry. Thought I laid it on just thick enough.

Always nice when esteemed members chip in though, thanks!
