I don’t normally mix business with business, but I’m going to make an exception in this case. As most of you know, I teach English and Reading at an alternative high school. These are kids that have already been failed by the traditional high school setting and curriculum and almost all have special needs of one kind or another. At least half of the school has ADD or ADHD and another fair percentage has some anger or bipolar issues. I love working with these kids, but am facing the same problem at the end of the school year as I did at the beginning.

I’m supposed to teach the kids “classic” literature.

I love classic literature to a point, but these are not kids looking at passing AP tests or even heading to a four-year university. Most are great in their own areas of interest, but not surprising very few of them get excited about reading Beowolf, Great Expectations, Of Mice and Men or Much Ado About Nothing.

In the beginning of the year, I was told to use the class sets the school already has for a group of very reluctant readers due to budget concerns. I opted to buy my own class set of paperbacks. The next set of novels I was able to get through my principal, but I’ve now exhausted that avenue as well. As the year comes to a close, I have a novel in mind, but it’s only available in hardback. I’m looking for something futuristic that is timely and relevant yet with a clear enough plot to engage the reluctant readers and make them immediately interested. I’ve picked The Hunger Games by Collins.

Buying hardbacks, even with a nifty teacher discount, gets pretty pricey. So to offset the cost, I’m reintroducing my link sales.

For every link sold, I’ll be able to buy another novel for my newest class set and you’ll get up to two content links through your choice of keywords.

I can place links on a small business blog, a parenting blog or a large content site that has virtually every category under the sun. I’d rather not list the urls here for obvious reasons. All links are in new content and through your choice of keywords.

Since the books are roughly $12 a pop, I’ll sell two links in a single post or article for $12 a pop as well. :1zhelp:

Interested in supporting the literary advancements of my kids? Or just need some new targeted permanent links? PM me for details…

Thanks for the support everyone! All purchased links are live and you should have received a confirmation URL(s) from me. I've purchased the books I need, but I'll leave this offer open in case I need more books in the future - likely until I get a new department head and librarian. :angryfire:

Thanks again!
