"Buy" and "Order" keywords

Does any one really search google with the keywords "Buy" and "Order"? I've read a lot of tutorials that say that you should only order keywords like [Buy spongebob] or [Order Spongebob] or "Buy spongebob" etc.

I've been running a campaign this month and I haven't gotten any clicks on keywords that had buy or order in this. I did make two sales for keywords with out those words though.

I studied my own search behavior and when ever I wanted to buy something, I didn't use those keywords too often.

What are some other keywords that people use while searching in buying mode? I'm guessing [spongebob for sale] would be one. Are there others?:bigear:
 


I ran the search program in-house at a major retailer and I promise you that people do search with buy and order.

Just because you don't use them doesn't mean others don't

you need to consider your root keywords as well. Not only do you need[Buy Nike], but alsot [Buy Nike Air Jordan], or [Buy Air Jordan], or [Buy Air Jordan Fusion 20].

Given you are also saying with your example that you are running exact and phrase match, then you need to have a strong understanding of exactly what someone would type. With the different internal brands of Air Jordan + the word "nike" + the word 'tennis shoes' you would have 100's of combos before you even started adding your modifies of buy, order, discount, sale, best price on, etc.

So take some time to make sure that you have a detailed root list. Then, for your modifiers just pick up a sunday paper. Every conceivable adjective you need to describe a sale, blowout, or one time deal is going to be represented in the ad copy.
