Well I'm no lawyer, I don't even pretend to be one ;). But it seems odd that a person can pay money to make an international bribery case go away.

Bernie is the man, he made Formula One into the epic worldwide money making machine and marketing wonderland that it is. He can easily afford to pay a 100 million dollar settlement. I am NOT saying he is Guilty and I understand that is the law of the land - it just sounds a bit bizarre. But Bernie having to step down would be a disaster, so I am glad this appears to be about over.

If mGrunin actually was good at trading (lol) he would've done the same thing.

But yeah - life sucks unless you have money - nothing else new under the sun...
He's 82 though, so he probably doesn't have much time left and just wants to spend the rest of his days doing coke and hookers...

It is bizarre. He was facing ten years and basically paid his way out of it. Would of had much more respect for the German justice system if they had, you know, done the job properly. The amount of dodgy deals this guy has done is astounding, more than Donald Trump! He also looks like he has had a face transplant, how can an 82 year old look like that?

Small fry, Perhaps in the whole scheme of things - But Mr. Gribkowsky already went to prison over this. Not to mention 10 years is a long time Anytime. It's a life sentence when your 83.

Bernie's best (most expensive) advice is hire a better legal team* or fuck off:
