uhm...I've made $0.64 in two months with auctionads, with roughly 62000 impressions....
it's not that bad, isn't it? :Yahoo_29:

This reminds me.. really must take it off... It is fucking shit..

Funny think is it's shown exactly 1 referral per week since I joined and nothing from those referrals (but no way to track them either other than the front page).

The ads are hardly ever relevant and as for the supposed geo-targeting.. I'm fairly sure it sends every visitor through the .com program...

Not so bad as you mate, but $0.62 from about 10000 impressions.. pretty shitty.

Anyone tried this?

I've been averaging about $20-30 a month on the sites where I've been running it. Not great but it beats Adcents and pays for the hosting. If I had more traffic to these sites it would do better, I'm sure.

One of the tricks is gearing it toward higher dollar items that are tied closely to your site topic. This has worked well for musical instruments and computer component and software review sites and blogs. I can't see this working well for other niches though, such as meta-blogging or making money blogs.

Of course, it just kills me when they show the 'default' ad of beany babies or Prada purses instead of my targeted items. I would have better conversions if they would just fix this one glitch.

just for the record, tobsn is serious. naggerads really is better than auctionads, it's got all the same features and more. ;)

no joke. serious.
(you can see the beta site on his laptop.)

you never know if you can sell it... i mean im not even in the beta phase... would be a good guess to answer this... but i think instead of shitmonkey and auctionads i can sell it and after it i still can look into the mirror.

i mean the only reason someone would use ebay auctions as ads is the fact that there are so many auctions with so many crap that you find a matching auction for almost any keyword.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Tobsn, that's fucking funny as hell. Gotta love fucking with the Nigerian scammers... or just photoshopping them being retarded.. Either way, you should make him your official spokesperson.

You gotta give props to Shoemoney though. Because he got it up and running, and sold pretty quickly. He also made off with low 7 figures I heard (still trying to confirm the real purchase price).

It's like mass producing a way to get people to sell air on their sites, and believe they'll make bank from it.

We had something like 160+ webmaster referrals on it, it was making a whole $10 a day I think, and then outta nowhere, went to zero. To date, I have seen thousands of sites with it, but no one reporting any real income or payouts from it. Unless someone wants to chime in here with some proof, because I'd like to see it.

But yeah, props to Jeremy, and as much as we may not get along and with all politics and ethics aside, you gotta give him credit for banking on it. Anyone who can make a shit service and sell it for over $500k after 3-4 months of it being launched deserves kudos, even if you don't like them.

did someone notice if the day earnings stopped more or less matches the date auctionads was sold to TLA?
anyway, that's exactly the point, he sold it and made bank out of it, despite almost nobody is earning with auctionads

i mean the only reason someone would use ebay auctions as ads is the fact that there are so many auctions with so many crap that you find a matching auction for almost any keyword.

ummmm yeah...... thats a pretty good point and thats also why they convert so well. I dont use Auction ads, I run them through CJ, but man you could not be more right. there is so much garbage being sold on Ebay you can taylor ads to fit just about any niche or interest.

Aside from that Ebay raising their commission to a min of 50% was pretty sweet, then the insentives each month.... Its good, good, good!!!!!!

I dont know shit about auction ads and cant say they I really care to, though Ebays affiliate program rocks when it comes to monetizing tough niche sites!

yeah but 50% is still stupid... i mean you earn from the fee that ebay charges... what was it? 1-2%? so you earn 50% of 1-2%... and how much are people spending on ebay? $10? $20? $50? $100? $200? $1000? i guess more like $40-$80 with $120 peaks... so if the fee is 2% you earn from 80 cents to $2.40 peak.

i say... not much... compare it to 20 cents per click with adsense... i guess more people just clicking ads instead of buying something. hell even more would type in ZIP's or E-Mail's instead of betting on some auction.

i really dont get the point with auctionads... i mean i beliefe that it makes sense on some hardcore niche site with new internet users so you can make money with all the new signups and also a bit with auctions.

but what i heard - 80-90% and more of the people who tried auctionads are not very happy about it.

... and the most scarry thing is that nobody talked about it yet because shitmonkey said its superb so i bet nobody said anything because they think "oh i must doing something wrong because I dont earn any money but shitmonkey does, just dont tell anyone what a loser you are."

or something similar.

btw. correct me if im wrong with the ebay fees ;)

I can only speak for myself, but I am doing much better with Ebays affiliate program, than I am with Adsense on 90% of the sites I have ran and tested both on.

Like I said I know shit about auction ads, I never bought into the shit and Im actually glad I didnt. I was going to cross test some auction ads with some ads thrown together with ebays basic affiliate tools, but never did.

For tough niches, Ebays affiliate program is a good option.

One other thing to keep in mind is this.... 90% of the people that visit this forum or any other AM forum for that matter are not happy with their earnings from any network or agency they are advertising through. 90% of the people that run through these boards are here today and gone tomorrow if you know what I mean. When Auction Ads launched, they targeted newbs, shitheads from Earners Forum and what not, so you have to expect to hear allot of shit.
