Call centres in India used to defraud Americans of millions

So it's that simple? Just call people up, tell them they owe you money, and they'll pay you?

Well fuck, I got this whole business thing all wrong then...

I've gotten these calls, and I don't say this often, but if they got money out of you, you deserved it. Ask them the who the account was with, the date it was opened, etc and they backpeddle or get hostile. Asking them to send you a hard copy of the statement got them to hang up.

When I got a new mobile number I got a ton of these asking for a James Franklin (nowhere close to my name). I started to play along once and asked for some documentation and the guy got all irate told me he was going to "bully" me (OH NOES!). I couldn't stop laughing. Shit was funny.

But yeah, after a while it got tiring so I installed Mr. Number on that phone.

FTA: They only made ~$5 million since January 2010. Accounting for expenses, that's not very much. If you're gonna do something like that, why not scale it up like a baus?

What expenses, the crazy Indian call-center fees of $4/hr? Dude banked off payday loans and then used lead data to scam people for millions.

Get back to renting out $1,000 mobile homes, peasant.

LOL says the stupid kid that whined about paying too much for his tax return just after showing off a house he spent too much money for just before getting dumped by his girlfriend.

What is it with you children calling people peasants anyway? You got lucky on a single campaign and failed at selling a shitty membership site on how to replicate it.

Might want to look in the mirror before casting those stones.

LOL says the stupid kid

False.

umad? I'm sorry you made a dumb statement, come at me bro.

I first heard Eagle do it to a guy in an elevator and the guy almost fought him. I thought it was hilarious and since then use the word to fire people up. Success.

If it makes you feel any better, you're not actually a peasant.

You got lucky on a single campaign

False.

lol you said a guy that banked on payday loans and then made an extra $5 mil off the data should have "made more". I thought it was a pretty dumb statement, so I called that out and obviously baited a heated response from you. I had fun at least.

Nah I drive a '12 A4 now, MSRP is only 37k. It was 55 on the TT-s.

I sold my house too.

Yeah I remember you didn't like your neighbors. The TT-S was sweet but an a4 is obviously much more usable for stuff like snowboarding and carting around friends/relatives etc, so a very sensible decision imo.

Neighbors were terrible, housing market was bad, and I want to leave NY.

The A4 is a much nicer car. Smoother ride, got a manual, 3x cargo space, and still has some speed. A decent amount of improved features in the past 3 years too in Audi technology.

I had one of these Indian phone rooms call on my cell phone about a month ago and the guy identified himself as being from the "Department of Law" in Washington DC? He had a very strong Indian or Paki accent and it was pretty easy to tell he was working a phone scam.

I told him that my Uncle worked at the Department of Law and that I was on the Department of Law do not call list and that I needed his name and government employee number to report him. The Department of Law is very serious about this type of business.

He hung up and has not called back.

It worries me though that they could be calling some 80 year old grandmother and scamming her into thinking that she is going to prison for a $500 bill that she doesn't even owe.

We need an international treaty that allows us to fly over to other countries and beat the living crap out of these scumbags.
