So I haven't touched an apple product in 10 years and don't know shit about the iPad really ... but I'm interested in one and my shitty old laptop needs replacing so I'm wondering if I can kill 2 birds with one stone.
Can an iPad serve as an "emergency" work machine if necessary?
When I travel I only work when absolutely necessary (emergencies etc) so I wouldn't ever be using it much, but I still need the ability to run POP email, FTP, telnet clients etc. Can you do that kind of shit on an iPad??
If so the new iPad 2 is looking better than a new laptop ...
