Did LOTS of work on my site yesterday- like 7 hours straight. I think I have a decent amount of content now.

Your 6 Pack Quest Begins Here

What do you think? Am I on my way to making money or do I have tons more work to put in? (I'm gonna assume more work, I don't even think my site is in Google yet)

I plan on adding google ads to every page eventually but Google hasn't approved me yet and I don't think they will because I was banned 2 years ago. Also wanna get rid of those godaddy ads but don't know how :/

I have owned this website for 4 days so far.

All seems well except when I clicked on the "6 Pack Quest" tab and tried to close the window - a chat window appeared and a message prompt appeared again - just hate these things.

u need to get off go daddy's free server. get urself a hostgator hosting for $ 4 per month to start with.

Yeah I hate them too lol but I guess the vendor put it there so when someone tries to exit off at least he has one last shot of keeping the visitor.

Thanks for looking By the way, appreciate it.

decide if u wanna go via seo or ppc..........if seo is the way then follow the no excuse thread going on here

Spend $4 a month and get yourself some paid hosting.
Don't ever use a free host for a money making website.

yes it does cost a lot. if u dont want to loose a lot of money, get some coaching from ppc coach and read nicky cakes blog - newbies section

Looks like most, if not all, of your content has been copied. This isn't going to let you rank in Google.
I can't see where 7 hours of work went in.

In no particular order

  • Get a real host. Godaddy sucks and Godaddy's free shit is even worse
  • The colors are hard on the eyes. The greens are too light, you can barely read the headline
  • Font size is too small. Use 12 point for the body and black #000000. #666666 is dark enough to read, but light enough to make you squint a bit.
  • The nav bar on the left should be on every page. Having to click the back button to get back to the nav bar is a PITA and will turn people off
  • WTF is this: Under your nav bar, get rid of it
  • If using a contact page, have a contact box, not just the email. If you just want to use the email, then do this:
    Code:
    <a href="mailto:myemail@google.ca">Contact Us</a>
    from the nav bar
  • The 5 offers you have in the nav bar aren't going to convert as well as they would if you included them in your articles. By themselves it's very strange to click on one and be directed to an offer as opposed to another page on your site. However, if you include a link to them in the body of your articles, then you should see better conversions.
  • Move the Copywrite info before the page, not in the middle of the content

You missed the fact that all his content is DUPLICATED.

Thanks Alot Mike. Looks like I have alot of work to do. The only way I can keep the Navbar on the left is if I use framesets for my site. (I'm using Macromedia Dreamweaver). But I'm not too good at it. So I will have to do some HTML reading as well. I will change up the offers on the Navbar; I knew something wasn't right there.

You missed the fact that all his content is DUPLICATED.

I actually thought this didn't matter because as long as you have content you will rank higher? I'm not good at writing my own stuff thats why I figured my vendor provided the articles for me for the affiliates to use.

Thanks for responding in my thread btw.

I got some work to do...........and get a new host.

Honestly you could just re-write it. I wouldn't think it'd make a difference. You could put the site in tables or DIV layers. Dreamweaver can make tables for you.

Re-writing 73 pages.....................omfg

Have no idea where is coming from on my site either.

Affiliate marketing is work man- I have been sitting on my ass all day. I like doing it though something with self-achivement just makes it worth it.

edit: Good thing I used a style sheet for my entire site otherwise I would be editing page by page for 73 pages......

Found a cool site if someone wants to look at it- Its color schemes for you sites.

this fucking blows.

My CSS Stylesheet is messed up.....I'm gonna be editing everything page by page for 73 pages unless I fix it.

Completely overhauling this shit today. Thanks for the suggestions ;)

Update

I made a sample page for you guys to look at

Your 6 Pack Quest Begins Here

Is there anything I need to change before I continue? Please tell me if there is anything wrong/ of concern. I need to know before I continue because I don't wanna apply this to 73 pages and have something wrong.

Thanks alot thus far though.

Actually Nevermind.

I'm thinking about using an entire different template altogether. I'll post another thread in about a week or so with my new look and under good hosting.
