Can we make an "Anti OWS 99%" Site?

So i was reading all these ppl talking about how terrible their lives are, and one persons post was that she makes 63K a year blah blah blah .. she was basically in a good situation. so that got me thinking.

We should all make a mockery of this and start an online fued by posting up notes that say shit like ...

"I cleared 100k last year, have no debt, wanted to go to college but couldn't afford it and since i'm not a dumb fuck i looked for other ways to make money. i don't sit on my ass at home all day, i find ways to make money instead of complaining." etc.. etc..

The shoemoney image comes to mind as well .. just posting an adsense check like that.

I dunno i'm tired and rambling now .. but i think it would be hilarious to start offending tons of people by posting the exact opposite of their pity stories online.

If done properly, you could get a lot of traffic to a site like that...so not necessarily a complete waste of time.

OP, not that I would start such a site, but I have also thought about the idea and assume someone will make it... I'm sure a lot of people would find it entertaining if done right.

i agree, i feel like it could make news ... definately in a negative light tho .. like "Cyber Bullying" or some bullshit like that
 
Bash lazy people who make stupid decisions and live beyond their means all you want, I'd probably read it. The idea for your site sounds entertaining and the people writing those 'woe is me' notes could use a dose of reality- they are responsible for their situation.

However-

Leave OWS out of it unless you support corrupt corporate practices and massive bailouts for profit-driven companies that don't give a fuck about the taxpayers that helped them. We've been over this, the average OWS goon is dumb, pretentious, and lazy, but cleaning up wall street is a noble goal and fucking up their reputation is a slap in the face to taxpayers who don't want their hard-earned money going to waste.

So yes, make a site that mocks the 99% all you want, I simply urge you to not tarnish the OWS name, the protesters have done enough damage to their own movement already by admitting that they are just as irresponsible with money as wall street is. They may not be the brightest bunch, but their intentions are good.
 
it's the 99%s that make me lose faith in humanity, the OWS .. i dunno much about it .. but it seems like the face of them is the 99%ers .. sooooo

If it didn't say occupywallstreet.org on the bottom of every piece of paper OWS would be safe .. but thats no the case..

i agree w/ the principals of the protest, and that shit has to get changed but when someone writes...

"It's my cat's birthday today and i can't feed him because my food stamps don't buy catfood. and i can't afford catfood because i have $10,000 of student loans, and i'm only 19, I DONT WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!"

they deserve to be swiftly punched in the face multiple times. a lot of waht i'm seeing are people that are not willing to accept reality and made horrible decisions. and i know tons of people like taht myself, but to see people come out with it publicly like this is rather embarassing.
 
We really are pretty much in agreement on this, the ones who ruined it are the "99%" that think they are entitled to a handout because they are irresponsible with their finances. How fucking ironic, one of the main reasons that they are supposed to be protesting is because these banks got huge handouts of taxpayer money and continue to fuck the people that bailed them out, meanwhile the protesters are saying that they want bailouts because they are debt due to their own irresponsible decisions.... fucking christ.

You know what, just make the site, OWS was doomed to begin with- hipsters and lazy welfare cases sabotaged it from the inside out. There's no hope anymore, might as well make a buck on it.
