Is it worth moving there?

Seeing that Europe is fucked, and seeing that so many of you wanna flee the US, Canada sounds pretty good. You never hear about Canada for any wrong reasons..

Is Canada business friendly? I heard the Taxes are horrible, how bad is it? I am currently paying ~33%
How are the Economic policies?

Most Importantly...
And Is that thaaaaaaaat cold most of the year?
I am not that used to prolonged chill.. I have lived in Kansas City and Boston, and both places were cold as fuck, but the summers were worth waiting for, at least in Boston, so they are like a benchmark.

Also I love the outdoors, and like killing Animals (Evil Laughter)

I am currently paying ~33% --- Get your business structured up right and you can live where ever without worrying about it.

And on that note, Canada is too fucking cold for too much of the year. Decent summers in parts. But I'm a tropics kind of guy so i'm biased.

Ah, yes. Canada. The land of milk and honey. Except it's not.

Here's a nice little vid from '09 that shows just how awful their "free" healthcare system is.

If you move up to the 16:33 mark, you can see how Canadians are actually taxed on paying tax.

InB4 angry Canadians come in and dispute what all the angry Canadians in the video said.

I only mentioned that because I heard Canada has very high taxes and that I am OK with paying 30-35%. I don't worry about paying my taxes.. I mean I am not exactly looking for a Tax Haven..

You're kidding yourself if you think Canada is a safe haven to escape your police state. It's happening up here, albeit at a slower rate due to the size difference of our country.

Canada has its flaws, but it's definitely the least fucked up of all Western countries, IMHO. I've lived all over the world and globally I think Canada has many advantages.

Business-friendly? Only Alberta is. All other provinces will fuck you up, especially Quebec.

The best thing about being Canadian is the fact that you're always be welcome wherever you go. No one really hates Canadians. A Canadian passport is a little bit like a U.N. passport.

What part of Canada are you thinking of moving to? Used to live there myself. I believe the taxes are more than 33%.

As far as weather, depends where you live. Vancouver probably has the warmest climate. Personally, I love the winter, as it's a nice change. Kinda gets boring when you have summer all fuckin year round (live in Cali now, summer all year around, so I'll be escaping this shithole quite soon)

If you like big cities..Montreal or Toronto. I'd pick Montreal. Fuckin crazy city. Hottest women I have ever seen. Yes, hotter than women in California. Hit me up if you have any other questions about Canada

I already live there, so that is out.

Please bring me a hat when you move from there....

Vancouver isnt that cold. It barely hits negative..so thats around 30 fahrenheit? Personal tax is a bitch, corporate..not too bad.

If you own a corporation you are taxed at 15%.
Personal tax around 45% if you are in highest tax bracket.
Vancouver: Recently ranked the most expensive place to live in North America. Second class citizens cannot afford the real estate here.
Weather: Warm summers, mild winter. Rains a lot except during summer.

If you make good money in Vancouver and can afford to buy real estate, you are in a good position. Rich people from China are literally POURING MONEY and buying real estate in Vancouver looking for a stable place to put their money. Local citizens cant even afford to buy a house, so huge rental market. Just bought 3 condos in the last 3 weeks. :)

I'd move to Agartha if I could. The advanced civilizations all live in the interiors. There are crystal clear rivers, warm temperature and twilight year around. There's no darkness.

You could live anywhere you want in the world, and watch, you'll end up in some 1bdrm condo in Toronto.

That makes no sense.

As a Californian, I didn't like Canada that much. Too rural for my taste, everything is expensive, and their version of Starbucks (Tim Hortons) sucks.
And Tim Hortons is much more like Dunkin Donuts than it is Starbucks.

EDIT: And starbucks sucks to begin with. You Californians...

Their taxes are higher than the USA, but it is not because of health care. The US government spends more per person on health care than any other nation.

health care spending, per capita in 2007 :

USA = $7,300 total, $3,200 paid by the government

Canada
= $3,900 total, $2,800 paid by the government

If you were that worried about things being expensive you wouldn't live in California or go to Starbucks.
