Hey does any of my fellow canucks know an accountant that can tell me about the pros and cons of setting up a corporation in Nevada? Or whether it would be better to set it up in Ontario? I should also note my brother lives in Nevada, so it is no problem going there or having a "rep" there.

I am having trouble finding a good accountant, though I'm looking on craigslist and all of them can't write in coherent english. I live in the Toronto area now btw.

lol craigslist for a good accountant? You're obviously looking for an accountant in Nevada who knows Nevada's tax laws correct? If so, ask your bro if he can get recommendations.

Also, I think Cakes is in Nevada, maybe he can help you out with a good one.

No there is no difference in setting up a corporation in Nevada. The CRA will still eat you alive.

There can be some benefits for a Canadian setting up an LLC in the states (eg: Delaware ,Nevada, etc)... But if you plan on running your business in a conventional fashion, a Canadian incorporation will do you just fine.

Do a Canadian corp, as opposed to an Ontario corp (provincial). It's less expensive.
