For anyone that is an affiliate of Casale, what kind of site numbers should your site have before you think about applying?

I've always heard that they have a good program if you have a lot of traffic but no one really ever said what a lot of traffic was.

I saw that. I've heard Casale is pretty hard to get into though and didn't know if people had been rejected with significantly more traffic than that.

It's a matter of providing value for their advertisers. Would you want to advertise with a network that accepts anyone? Wouldn't you rather advertise with well known sites that have a large readership and whose readers belong to a certain demographic or are more likely to buy your product? By being selective they can control that...

And by virtue of being able to sign on good advertisers who are willing to pay a high rate card, they are able to pay high cpms

Well sure, but if they say 10,000 pageviews or visitors or whatever it was, then they shouldn't be hard asses about it. If they are going to be that selective then they should spell it out so that you don't waste your time applying if you know that you aren't a good fit for the network.

Well that's the base requirement... numbers alone won't get you in. The problem is that there tends to be a lot of similar sites out there. So if you are the XXXth arcade site that wants to get in, well even if you have the numbers they'll have a hard time securing advertising for you.

The real money I think is in site direct advertising. If they can get an advertiser to buy ads on your site through them, they'll get paid a lot more than if you just get lumped into a channel with everyone else.

If you have the numbers, and a unique site, chances are better for you
