ok so there is a mcdonalds thats a 3 minute drive from my place. yea im lazy so fuck it, I like to go there since its so damn close and open 24 hrs .

during the day, you can pay with cash or cc no problem but when night shift ppl come around, they start accepting "cash only" and dont use the computer system to input or take orders or give receipts.

I know these shitheads are just overcharging ppl and keeping the extra $ or all of it. There is another mcdonalds thats a 20 minute drive away that is open 24/7 and they accept CC's no problem and use their computer system.

I mean I get their hustle or w/e , yea wow sux, they work nightshift @ mcdonalds, got a shitty job whatever and just want extra side $... but fuck, it really inconveniences me bc there is no ATM around and all I want it some food rq.

They are really sloppy about it to, they do it about every single night once its only 2 of them there (its always the same 2 women). They started out doing it just on weekends but now they have started doing it during weekdays as well (lol sad that i know this).

Should I call them out on it and try to extort free food? Report them? Just say fuck it and drive the 20 min to the other McD? Not eat fast food? LOL at them and ask how much extra they makin' a week?

/rant lol

Remember to keep some cash in your pocket.
Try and extort the people who make your food is a really bad idea.

yeah

Try and extort the people who make your food is a really bad idea.

LOL - your damn right about that.

You know what you should consider doing bro? Go to the grocery store and pick up some packs of beef and BBQ sauce, some of your favorite toppings, get some packs of fries, etc... and make some damn good burgers on a little BBQ at home.

I know your probably lazy but nothing beats a good home made burger.

wut what will you do with the money? Buy stocks or just stash it in a swiss account?

obviously spend it getting 100's and 1000's of backlinks from Indians and Pakis bro, duh.

Go through with a hidden camera and record it, throw it online and monetize it. This kind of stupid shit would go viral. Then email McDonalds and watch the shit hit the fan.

In all honestly it's a pretty common tactic in the business. Although there are many ways to pull it off, it's extremely ballsy (and arrogant) to not use the computer at all. I'm pretty shocked that they haven't been busted if they've been doing it for a while, their inventory counts would look pretty horrendous. Also in my experience there are no shortage of complainers out there, and you'd think by now someone would have made a phone call or email.

the same thought went through my head.

who knows how deep the corruption goes in the chain. maybe the manager is in on it too? who knows. If I owned this mcdonalds I would be pissed if my employees were doing this.

I dont know how mcdonalds jobs/shifts work but maybe they run a few orders thru the computer every now and then and then go back to scamming. The other night I went thru and ordered 2 quarter pounders plain and a chicken nugget thing and my total was like $12.xx . I was like O_o but still paid it out of curiosity or whatnot to see how it would all go down. It was 2am on a Saturday and the line was full of drunk ppl just getting out of bars so they prob make a few extra hundred bucks a night doing this shit.

The camera idea is a good idea, ill def do it in a day or two since the weekend is coming up and youtube it.

also sidenote: I see the women manually write stuff down in a piece of paper. maybe they are keeping track of materials used or doing the $$ math via paper. idk.

Pretty smart thing they're doing, but I'm sure they'll fuck up and get busted eventually. McD's will eventually notice a regular dip in sales during certain times when these idiots are working. Greed takes over and they'll push it too far.

Reminds me of these uni students in Australia who made a master key for all the parking meters around the city, they went around stealing coins out of each meter every night netting $20k a month from them. The council decided to change the locks and noticed the increase in revenue straight away so they know something was fishy was going on. If they had of kept it under control and stole $5k a month it probably would have gone under the radar.

I honestly think what you're seeing is not that uncommon. I had a friend back in HS who worked at an ice cream shop. When it was just him and his friend working there, they would do the same thing. They would either ask for exact change, and pocket it - not even ring it up, or give people that left over 8-10cents back and say, "keep the change", but in reality they were just pocketing the cash and not ringing up the order.

Another friend working for a DVD store would "close up" with a friend of his and each take a few DVDs at night.

If they don't get too greedy, they'll be able to keep it going for a long time. I would say it's not worth your time to call them out on it. They probably aren't that smart, and probably don't get that much extra $ out of it.

When I was in the business, I knew another General Manager of another store that would constantly roll over his inventory every week. He'd always have ridiculously good food loss numbers which where out of the realm of posibility. Basically what it means is he'd keep track of everything that was off every week and to make his numbers look good he would pad his inventory. Well eventually, if you don't let some of it "bounce" you create a giant bubble and it explodes as corporate eventually questions why you're ordering so much food if you already have x amount of food on hand. It was quite a disaster when it popped.

It's even harder to do these days because more chains have automatic ordering systems that base what you need off of current inventory levels.

It's very doable on the small scale but you have to be smart about it. I would say it's very plausible that the head manager at store level is involved.

I have friends that worked in an ice cream shop as well. Too bad stealing wasn't the worst of their fuckups. They regularly spit and jacked off in the ice cream. I can only imagine some of the shit that goes down in places like McDonalds.

Enjoy your "food" bitches.

Here's a thinking way, way outside the box idear - but just hear me out. Why don't you just buy food at the grocery store in advance and cook it when you're hungry?
