Change of Address Not Working in Google Webmaster Tools

We setup a 301 redirect from some old sites to some subpages on our main e-commerce site. I added all the subpages in Google Webmaster Tools, but I can't seem to verify them. Typically it would popup after you add it to verify yourself as the owner.

Are you not able to do a change of address in Google Webmaster Tools to a subpage, is it restricted to root level domains only?

The 301 redirect is working fine, just can't seem to find a way to let google know.

Quick Update: I just read on their website you can't do a change of address to a subpage or subdomain, how will this effect the 301 redirect I setup? Will this cause a drop in rankings now being setup in Google Webmaster Tools correctly?
