I know that they are just trying to improve their company, but some of these new changes are really starting to annoy me. Everytime I go right to Google, I have to click on the search box because the cursor is not automatically there for me anymore. The links at the top seem to be messing it up. I've told them that I don't want Google as my homepage but it keeps popping up everytime I go there. I miss when it was just a search engine and the page was plain and dull.

Google is constantly updating their algorithm and the search interface. The search window has already been modified to show a preview of your website so now we have to make sure that our sites look really good. I think Google wants to make things difficult for us all.
Wait till they implement rel=author in full force .... your picture will appear next to the search results and anonymity goes out the window.
