I am a nembie and I run an online flooring company with my family. I have seen over the last four years the power of the internet and I am looking to get into making money on online marketing and ads. What is the cheapest way to get 100 sites up and running. Which host to use...or should I host my own (get a server). Also what is the cheapest way to build the sites? Any help would be appreciated.

blogger.com - free
wordpress.com - free
wordpress.org - free (same as above, but you host it yourself)

But if you've never done this before, you should probably just start out with 1.

100 blogspots would be free, which is fairly cheap...

I don't mean to pry, but what are you trying to do that requires 100 sites initially? I'd suggest you try your idea on one or two sites, and then only scale up if it proves to be worth it.

I'll admit that I at one point hosted my sites off of a crappy webserver on my home cable connection. On the plus side, it is free since I was paying for the internet anyway. On the downside, I lose power a lot. You also get to administer the server yourself, which can be good or it can be bad.

There is also shared hosting. That's where a web hosting company buys a computer and they cram as many customers onto it as possible. They deal with the server administration stuff, and you get some limited access to the machine.

Not Sure what you are trying to acheive but google - Joe Polish - he is huge in the cleaning biz-op biz. And also a good friggin' copy writer.

When you do buy the domains, buy them in bulk so that way you save quite a bit of money. Also you will probably need more than a $10 hosting plan if you plan on having 100 sites that get traffic. Also as far as building the sites, there's a lot of free tutorials on Google that explain how to do this and there are even programs that will design you the site. You just click a few buttons here & there and bam, the site comes out. It's rather easy :)

I'd say the absolute fastest way is buy a bunch of domains and park them all at a PHP run site. Then update the PHP to do what you want depending on the sitename that is coming n.
