I'm going to go against the grain here and say it doesn't look that bad. But maybe I missed the first draft cause I don't see any green and the maroon is a nice match to the rugs. You definitely need more stuff in the side bar, it looks a bit bare but I think you've got something to work with here.
Missed the first draft. But seen what you got now with the maroon and stuff. I would suggest putting a persian rug background (softened of course). I would also add a privacy policy link, contact us link, How to tell a quality persian rug from a crappy one link, maybe the history of persian rugs link, a page with a few pics of what another posted described above where the pics are of rooms with a focus on the rug. Lastly, some welcome text above the list of ebay ads. I do suggest you drop BANS and go get phpbay. Way better product in my view. I got a few sites running phpbay and it is top shape.
Thats a sweet part about phpbaypro is you have hundreds of decent themes to choose from.
If this is you first website ever then congrats on a good job. Keep on keeping on bro. The more you build the better you get and eventually you will realize that wordpress is the fastest way to get a dynamic site live and working for you. Some may prefer other cms's but wordpress is just smooth baby and there is tons of shit to plugin and make your site different and unique.
They are different styles of rugs put in alphabetical order. Each one of those links is the name of a town or city in Iran where the rug originates from and the name of the city where it originated from generally becomes the name of rug.
If you would have clicked through to the site, you would clearly see that there are no adsense ads anywhere on the site (yet).
I couldn't find this on the phpbay website - does the $49 give you an unlimited license?
I don't understand, what is the deal with .info domains, what's so wrong about them?
As they are/were so cheap, they have primarily been used by spammers or for low quality sites so some people are suggesting Google are/were devaluing some of them for that reason:

You can do well with .info domains but try to get a .com if you can.
As a compliment, I congratulate you on trying. Most people just dream about doing it, but never follow through. I do suggest .com domains. The people are right. phpbay is better than BANS for newbie web designers. If you can make your own site and themes, then either or, but most people grab free or cheap themes. You will find more themes for wordpress, which is what phpbay uses. Your design will get better with time. If you are stuck, pay for a premium theme or have one made for your site. Making the site look good will greatly increase the clicks to ebay. That is all you need, for them to click to ebay deploying the cookie. Then just hope they buy anything within 7 days without clearing their cookies.
