Just checked out the video and its boots as a browser? Im not too sure I like this!
 
I applied and Eric Schmidt personally came to my home and delivered it. Works great so far.

I applied never got shit. Seems you get one if then send you one in the mail. You get no email no phone call, nothing.

Also whats fucked up is it has 8gb ssd but nothing is stored on it but the OS. The entire system runs on the cloud and all files/data are on google's servers. Ill pass.
 
I don't trust Google. But I would get a Chrome Notebook and resell it on Ebay without ever opening the box.
 
I wanted one, I applied, never got one. I can't imagine many of us would be allowed to get one upon even a cursory inspection of our gmail accounts or analytics sites lol
 
Right now, for most people, you can do around 90% of all your computer stuff online. So that means that the Chrome OS is only 90% effective.

I personally smell a big market for filling that 10% gap. Whoever does this will be rich.
 
My brother won one in some contest last week. He said it just showed up at his doorstep one morning. It's pretty fun - barring the whole Google owns your data. Reminds me alot of the older 12inch powerbooks.

First of all, 3g and wifi may be used on any page, you just need to define them first. wifi is a little more complicated than 3g to implement, but you can see they are both functionally related to one another. See the image below. Complex equations may be solved using the Google CR-48 notebook. In fact, it's even capable of solving advanced mathematics problems such as recurrence relations with more clear and less machine-like output than Wolfram alpha. The downside is that the methodology it uses is an error-prone one. For instance, the Google notebook forgot to add an "for all n>=2" on the last line there. Also see image below.
