I just realized I have been charged twice € 10 (taken from my earned commissions that haven't reached the payment threshold)

their faq sections reads 'If your account was charged a $10 fee it is because you have not generated any commissionable transactions for a six-month period.'

pathetic

if applications weren't declined automatically I'd have generated commissions...

Is it that difficult to generate a 50 cent email submit lead or a free social network signup lead there. Plus whenever you get rejected, send a reply to them asking why -- and more than often they approve you after that. Speaking from experience.

So you are basically whining about being unable to make 100 euro with CJ? (that used to be 25...)

Pathetic indeed.
NO! Even if you make 50 cents in transaction, you don't get charged. So, it is not just pathetic but shockingly pathetic.

since ebay left cj I haven't promoted any products through CJ but this isn't the point...

charging because your account is 'dormant' is just plain stupid

applications are often immediately declined at the moment you apply, that's stupid, and many merchants don't even answer when you email them

I was talking about an offer for which I had been declined: I emailed them and they never got back to me.
I promoted similar offers on neverblue and everything went smooth

Party Poker for example does this same thing. They charge $5 for accounts without activity. It's smart but sucks for people who make accounts but don't have time to promote them.

You'll find that's because the merchant is no longer promoting, but don't want to close their account... in case.Unfortunately, CJ does take better care of its merchants thatit does its advertisers, but if you're promoting in a very specific niche for the cashed up, you can make a decent amount out of it.

I thought they just closed your account if you didn't have any conversions in six months. They call it lack of activity, but don't define activity, a problem for newbies.
After all it takes many people longer than 6 months to figure out how to drive and convert traffic.
