I just got $23.89 added to my commission junction balance for no apparent reason. I haven't promoted anything on CJ for months and I looked through the last few days/months and there are no commissions.

Anyone know if this is a settlement from that class action lawsuit? Anyone else get free monies?

Also, this is a noob question kinda. I heard that if you don't meet the minimum payout they charge your account a certain amount of money each month. Is that true? If that's the case, they will probably just get this money back...how lame o_O

I don't think so, because:

Type: Credit
Advertiser: Unknown

and I always assign a website to my links and who pays $23.89? such a weird number. ( I haven't worked with companies that pay like 2% of a purchase)

How do you know that wasn't a 50% commission on a $47.89 product? Don't really understand the last bit.

I've haven't worked with an advertiser that pays a percentage of a sale in a few years. So it's extremely unlikely that I would get a commission that isn't a round number.

And this isn't a commission, its a "credit".

It's listed under "Fees" in my current balance.

Nobody else got this?

On another forum, a user contacted CJ regarding the credit and they confirmed it was from the lawsuit settlement. Advertisers also have credits appearing in their account in the same manner, from the part of the settlement that dealt with advertisers.

same thing happened to me, i got 71.00 randomly yesterday, up to now i'd never made a penny with CJ

I have a CJ account with a small balance but got no mystery money. How did the recipients qualify for the settlement cash? Was it for being in certain programs at a certain time? I wouldn't mind a bit of chump change.

I think you had to have an account and revenue before the court case. Then I guess your settlement is dependent upon the amount of revenue you had. I'm not really sure.

This shitty settlement covers 2003-2008 approx. and it was for...

1 MILLION DOLLARS

The % of the revenue you did in that timeframe determines the % you will get of the

1 MILLION DOLLARS (what a joke considering the rampant cookie stuffing that CJ permitted for years)

It is CJ Lawsuit settlement. You were supposed to get a credit automatically... that reminds me to log-in to check how much I got.
