Anyone care to share tips on how to optimize clickbank conversions. I've been promoting CB using 250x250 banner ads on a blog network I built and still stuck at zero sales. Is it just a matter of picking the right offers?

You don't have much chance with CB offers, unless you have extra targeted traffic.
From my experience with CB, you can expect to get 2-5% conversion, and that's for PPC traffic with performing keywords only. With general traffic I guess you'll have more luck with email/zip offers

Clickbank for the most part, is shit products, however, I have 2 sites that rock the clickbank products. They are both services, not the ebook bullshit that saturates clickbank. The trick with clickbank is getting a decent offer, which is almost a waste of your time as most products are complete bs. The only reason I even started promoting one of the services from clickbank is I was doing some keyword research and found about a dozen keywords with redick search volume, then I knew of an offer on clickbank to compliment those keywords. Other than that, I wouldn't of even ran cb bullshit.
Bottomline, forget about clickbank, join a good network and do leads, you will see a much better conversion rate. Also, if you are gonna get into ppc, I have found that the yahoo and msn ppc platforms generally convert better for clickbank, at least the offers Im promotin...good luck bro!

Thanks, guys. I've had luck with clickbank before for a differing niche. I guess it all depends on niche and I agree with Lickity Split's observation that services do better than ebooks. My newest blog network focuses on ebook CB offers so no wonder sales suck.
