Clickbank Vs. Go-It-Alone

I have a couple of questions for Clickbankers.

Some intellectual property folks who sell their wares use CB, while some do it on their own.

Wishlist membership comes to mind as a team that manages their own affiliates. (They do offer a return. It's 30 days, not 60. I suppose that's part of the reason. Stiff CB fees may be another.)

What's the difference? Outside of CB fees, and CB stipulations (60 day returns, etc), what's the rule of thumb for some of you Clickbankers? How do you decide between going it alone or putting it on CB?

Any thoughts would be great!

I know a couple big clickbank people that I connected to processors and they are more than happy. The only benefit to CB is the viral aspect of their program. The merchanting side of things is horrible.
