So recently affs have started getting whois spams from Clickbooth. It appears they've stepped up their copywriting game and are attempting to scare affiliates into calling them by using fake warnings.
here's what they send.
response via email gets you something like:
"no we really need to talk about this on the phone, please forward me your number fast"
once on the phone, this is what you get.
Clickbooth rep: "So yeah we think we have some great offers and payouts that will make you more money, you know we are the best network there is!"
you ask:
wait what in the hell was the email about and the shit hitting the fan and everything?
they say:
"oh we just got some good offers and wanted to make sure you got to run them first before a lot of people find out and they start to cap."
*hang up.
so for the record, if you get an email like this there's no need to respond. it's just another whois spam and you can do what i'm doing... save it in a folder marked 'clickbooth lawsuit' and hold for future purposes.
here's what they send.
now this sounds pretty scary right? "the shit hits the fan" and "before anything goes down" is definitely going to get an affiliate that normally would not respond to respond just to try and figure out what the hell is going on.Subject: Important Info About Pulse 360
