So we deal with a plethora of clients. Sometimes they email us, sometimes we initiate the email, and sometimes they call. I'm looking for a system where we can enter all of the email addresses associated with a client (owners, managers etc) and can then message them and track all messages through the system itself. It would also be nice if the client could login and see all correspondences for their company. Any ideas? (Please don't say Basecamp or Highrise)

kind of but where you can have a client like ABC Client and then by initiating a message to them it emails everyone at the company and allows everything to be tracked by both us and the client. It may be helpdesk software but not in the traditional sense because our clients are never going to "submit a ticket" and often we initiate the correspondence.

heh, I have the perfect solution for you. Excellent account / client management, full transaction + payments if wanted, CRM with Mailchimp integration, blogs, etc. And also, a full support system with ticketing, knowledgebase, etc.

Plus clients can manage their own list of support contacts, which does exactly what you want. Also fully pipes into e-mail, so as far as your clients are concerned, they can just e-mail support@yourdomain.com, everything pipes into the ticketing system, and is 100% tracked appropriately.

Best of all, it's absolutely free.

Can't give the URL out yet just though. Been hauling ass on it, and should be done within 24 hours at the most. Check the BST section in a day or two for a thread from me offering a free CMS.

I built my own about 5 yrs ago to deal with logo clients (just about 2k now). Dev'ing something that's a simple message based system custom shouldn't be a huge project or all that difficult. It's really just a few forms, a couple tables in a database, etc.

I use Basecamp, only because it's super easy for retarded clients.... haha. Also, they have some pretty new features that allow you to hide info between team members, so the client doesnt see it.

Really, if it isn't easy.. They won't use it.

Oh yeah, forgot about this. Envrin CMS - Free, commercial grade account management software.

There you go, that does exactly what you want. If you want to test, just send a quick e-mail to support@envrin.com. Then download it, and send another e-mail to that address. You'll notice the first letter of the ticket ID# changes from P to M (P = public, M = member).

When processing tickets, if it's a public ticket, I only see the name and e-mail. If it's a member ticket though, I have the full account info sitting in front of me, allowing for efficient processing of tickets.

Member's area also has a "Support Contacts" menu, which allows clients to define everyone who is authorized to receive support for that account. Whenever any of the contacts e-mail the support address, the ticket is assigned to that member account. All replies to the ticket are sent to all support contacts.
