Cloaking in Adsense

They're probably running crappy flogs targeting adsense sites by cloaking their URLs disguised as newspapers. I wonder how it's being done though.

It's fairly easy to cloak Google - I used to do it for a number of offers, and it got by their system for 3+ years until one of the advertisers got pissed and complained to Google.

Anyway, I used to work at an agency that ran search & affiliate for a major diet website, and we found some affiliates running cloaked ads like that on the content network with our client's domain name... I believe that ended up in a lawsuit. Let's just say you don't want to mess with reputable companies that care about their brand, and have large legal departments.

I'm seeing a lot of ads for this cloaked farticle running a4d offers. So hard to compete legitimately...

Not rocket science, you can purchase an up to date list of Google ips/referrers from fantomas. Not more than a couple lines of php to compare referrers and do a table lookup to decide which page to display.

A4D and RockStarAlliance running a massive Cloaking Campaign right now. Only a matter of time before Google nails them all. But I'm sure they're banking while it lasts.

A4D are running it or one of their affiliates is? Big difference.
