Anyone tried this shit?

Seems like there's mixed opinions about what you can get in the US, some say it's de-cocainized, others say it gives them a nice boost and can actually numb their mouth, which means it likely has trace amounts of cocaine in it.

Amazon sells it, so I can't imagine it's any good..
[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Mate-De-Coca-Tea-Organic/dp/B002KLLHF4]Mate De Coca Tea: Pure, Organic, Sacred & Fresh! Coca Leaf, Bulk Tea Powder 1oz: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food[/ame]

I know it'll be nothing like cocaine, but I love trying new shit, even if it's only a small boost. Any sources on legit shit? I'll keep hunting and see what I can find..

I know in Peru and what not they chew the leaves, like when the Top Gear guys got amped up, more taken aback that its available, and that people are saying has noticeable effects.

"Coca leaves and any salt, compound, derivative, or preparation of coca leaves"- doj "..US law coca tea could likely be considered a "Preparation of coca leaves," which is Schedule II"

it's illegal to import coca leaves/pasta/salts in the US/most conuntries.

that's either shit, or will get shut down.

Hey! coca tea (called mate de coca in Peru) is tasty. :)

Coca leaves contain much calcium, and the substance they bear (which is cocaine, but not the illegal drug) is neither addictive nor perilous per se.

Coca leaves also inhibit hunger and thirst to some extent, while still giving a slight boost to muscles. This was a great help while South American people were enslaved by Spaniards, some centuries ago.

Chewing coca leaves is a millennial practice. It is related to both fighting chill and also for some ceremonial stuff I've never tried myself. Ancient Inca had some sorcerers who read coca leaves like a kind of oracle for the Inca king.

I'm from Peru.

I'm thinkin about trying to chew one of these when I travel down to south america in a few months.

Will report back with results!

Would chewing coca leaves be detrimental to your teeth in anyway? like chewing tobacco.

Why would chewing on a natural leaf hurt your teeth? People have been chewing on these leaves for hundreds (if not thousands) of years to numb pain, get a buzz, or hunt dinosaurs. Some rugged, salty son-of-a-bitch chewed these leaves and dinosaurs were extinct by the next day. Comet? Please.

Plus, even chewing tobacco isn't as bad as marketing claims. I've been chewing skoal for 12 years and have perfect teeth and gums. It's all genetics (and learning to brush your teeth after you chew). It's a ploy by the shadow government to make people go vegan, submit to women, and be pussies.

Real talk, bro. Either it's going to fuck you up, or it isn't. Just like how some people can smoke 2 packs a day for their entire life and never get cancer, yet some other guy smokes a couple cigs per day for 3 months and develops lung cancer. You got to know your genes and your limits.

Get @ me.

Chewing betel leaves apparently fucks you off pretty good.

I'll stick to smoking natural leaves.

I bought the stuff on Amazon and will report back. Likely going to have to find a better source, but we'll see what happens.. hard to find a reputable one.
