I have a small niche I want to go after.
The #1 guy has 3K links to his site and 16 to the url that contains the kw. None of the links have the kw anchor. (5 yr old domain; pr3)
The competition from #2 - 7 is all big retailers inner pages, etc.
How beatable is that for a new site?
Lets say i get quality socials; 2.0 props, etc. links especially for the direct kw anchor, and get dfb level links for non-kw anchors?
Is having the right kw anchors a big help? (assuming correct on page SEO and the kw in the domain, but not EM).
