I just created a new account on my web host manager. I bought a domain on godaddy which gave me 1 email address. I can access that through webmail and also have it setup on my Thunderbird. I ran a test from my personal account to this new account and it got through. However when trying to sign up for Twitter with the new email account it says its trying to send me the confirmation message but it is not being delivered. I do not receive anything in my inbox at all. What could be wrong here?

did you try sending yourself email from your gmail account etc? if its not working either contact godaddy support , they are very helpful and working 24/7
Solution to the original question:
I had to update my MX records on my hosting side as they were not pointing to the MX records on GoDaddys side. Find out what your MX records on GoDaddy are and plug them into your MX editor on your hosting cpanel side.
