Anyone out there heard of a Google Content Network campaign creation tool? One that allows you to input like 50 keywords (as thematic adgroups), and it'll go into Google Keyword Tool and grab the top 20 keywords by search volume, for all keywords, then later sort it into an Excel Spreadsheet for uploading using Adwords Editor?

I find having to do it all manually such a time waster, and I'd rather have a tool to do it then to pay outsourcers by the hour.

Would be cool it there was already such a tool/program/script out there, else I'll probably try my luck at rentacoder

What exactly are you wanting it to do? return the top 20 keywords for each of the 50 words you entered?

"it'll go into Google Keyword Tool" .. the adwords tool?

v2 of my keyword script finds sites (not keywords) to target in the content network based on SERPs of keywords & you can sort the whole list of keywords by volume.

You've also got a big discount waiting you since we've already done business.

Keyword Rockstar does exactly what you're asking for. It also does a bunch of other stuff, like generating image ads and finding placement targets.

I bought it a few days ago and I've only had time to test one campaign (which kinda worked in the sense that the tool did what it was supposed to but I hardly got any impressions - maybe my budget was too low?) but it was a piece of cake generating 400 adgroups with a few thousand tightly themed keywords.

Yeah I heard of Keyword Rockstar before, but from what I see, it just 'claims' to build highly targeted/themed adgroups, but it doesn't go into more detail what is their definition of a targeted or themed adgroup..

Maybe I'll give it a try to see if it works since it has a 30-day guarantee anyway.

^^^^ impressions on CN seem to be as easy as walking through fire naked, soaked in gasoline lately. Bids, # of sites, kws etc dont seem to effect shit.
... I asked my rep at G to tell me why I don't get ANY impressions, like ZERO from day one on a particular campaign. It's been almost a week "our technical team is working to determine the reason..." :angryfire:

Well, I _know_ they're not gonna do shit, Like, at all. I just want to get the "official answer", really. I wonder what's it gonna be this time. If it's funny enough I'll post it here

More and more people are having this problem every day now it seems.

Yeah they're lying to you.
I had the same shit late last year. Got yanked around by support for a couple weeks.
Then someone here posted an interview w/ someone who helped design/write adwords that contradicted the support people(AND the responses from when they sent the problem up the chain).

Make an MCC account. New account regged to the MCC. Eventually your old account gets the ability to run CN again, but the 2nd holds ya over till then.

^^^^ ..well, the deal is, I have over 30 accounts under 1 MCC for a few years. This particular account never got enough action though. I can move the campaign to the accounts that got $100k+ already and change the domain and do whatever, but I want them fuckers tell me what the fuck the problem is.

And wasn't talking to the regular rep, but an Agency rep if anyone knows what Im talking about, them people are supposed to be "the shit" and help big guys and Adwords Resellers on a higher level than usual low-level support bio-robots from 1866-2Google call center.

I can predict the answer but it pisses me off like there's no tomorrow that these fucking posers can't fucking give me a straight answer!!!!!

It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out/test/determine the reason when I have 200 adgroups with ~10 ads in each, (2 text plus like 5-8 image ones) with very different kws in each group, decent budget, $1.00 CPC and the only thing in common those adgroups have is the URLs/landers = the problem is either industry in common or the merchant - so fucking tell me this!! Tell me what to fix & lets make some monies already!! Grrrrr :angryfire:

Hey prosumer, just wanted to let you know that I could answer any of your questions about Keyword Rockstar and how it themes the content network adgroups since I wrote it.

It is actually very flexible and gives you several options when building your content campaigns.

1) You can specify how many keywords you want per adgroup, how many adgroups per campaign.

2) You can specify if you want the image ads and text ads in the same campaign and same adgroups, same campaign and different adgroups, or different campaigns completely (which is the default).

3) As far as the theming goes, there are two options at the moment.

Option A - If you don't specify any keywords to be your themes, then it simply orders the keywords alphabetically and chunks them into the adgroups based on your settings above.

Option B - You can specify keywords(you can include multiple themes per adgroup by comma delimiting in the same line) that you want to make sure your adgroups are themed around and it will find all of the keywords in the list that contain your themes (in any order) and include them in adgroups based on your chosen number of keywords per adgroup.

You can either throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks or put a little thought into it and make sure you get adgroups built around themes that you want to make sure are included.

The real power is also in the auto-generated image ads based off of your text ads in every size Google allows. We will be coming out with more templates, right now we have just one, but I have gotten good results from it.

Also, you can include your own banner ads or the offer's pre-made ads.

I hope that helps.

Best Wishes,

Jon

Trying the exact same campaign on multiple accounts on my MCC have gotten different results. I find that some new accounts have ZERO impressions from day 1, whereas an 2 yr old account with shitty history (but decent adspend) gets impression right off the bat. I still can't figure how to get brand new adword accounts to show impressions...

Jon, I'll have a look at Keyword Rockstar. So far its the closest tool to what I was looking for.. ;)
