Earlier this morning, I bought a small content site, pheromonespray.net. The main reason
for me buying this site was the first page ranking for the keyword, high paying keywords,
lack of on-site and off-site SEO, and the ugly design.

The problem is that my experience with creating affiliate sites is very limited. So...

My Question:
I would like to get some recommendations on converting this site into an
affiliate site selling pheromone sprays focusing on the products instead of
using adsense.

If you could give me aid on:

  • Design
  • Pre-selling Content
  • Placement for the products
  • Navigation
  • And anything else

I know. I'm asking for a lot but any type of advice would be greatly appreciated.

*scratches head* Aren't you the Newbie Support Guide?

Ditto... ??

And not to mention... the damn site and domain is only 2 weeks old... I hope you spent nowhere near $100 for it.

The only reason it even ranks (for terms that aren't searched for much) is because of keyword in domain... and the keyword isn't even the most searched of the bunch.

The #1 site for the terms looks like it has hardly any traffic...

Edit- You bought it for $40... I still think it's a waste of money. $10 and a few hours, you could have something better and cheaper.

Yeah...

It was a mistake. I need to remember to not buy a site drunk or hungover. I am Newbie Support Guide but my experence is mainly SEO. I'm trying to make a bad choice into something good and though some people here could help me.

I would bang out a Wordpress site with a review plugin. Do the normal things, make posts that match the products on there now.

Then 301 the old pages to the new pages.

Get links.

Move on.

Cycle site it. Pheremones cross-sell into Picking Up Chicks, and Picking Up Chicks has decent monetization.
