I currently make (low) $x,xxx a month from arcade sites - I have 4, they all rank for their varying keywords, and I'm in the process of launching 2 more right now. There's not a lot of money in this niche the way I've been handling it, but I set up those 4 sites when I was a newb, and have just held on to them since.
My goal is to grow a ton more of these sites, but first I want to see if anyone has ideas for how to make them more profitable. I've tried Smileycentral, the toolbar offer @ Neverblue and about a dozen other offers: AdSense performs better for sure. Most of the guys advertising in my AdSense seem to be selling their own subscription/spyware'd games, and I've gone in to that side of things a bit too with little success (this part, obviously just because i'm doing it wrong; that's fine), but it seems like a huge part of my AdSense blocks are just showing arbitrage sites; take arcade traffic, send it to another arcade site that has more advertising on it, and hope they click.
Now that I've given away my data: any ideas/recommendations for me?
p.s., AdSense performs REALLY well for me, but let's not worry about beating that too much, I just want to spark a discussion re: converting on traffic that has no real particular niche ("likes playing games" doesn't really identify the user?)...
