I'd like to have the visitor enter their zip on my page and have that zip pass to the lander page of a zipsubmit offer on copeac. If you add &zipcode=12345 to the end of the final url, it works, but if you add that to your affiliate link, it doesn't.

this isnt allowed. if the advertiser catches it you wont be paid, its basically viewed as filling in the offer yourself

Mike... care to offer you're views on something kinda completely different from what the OP is asking...

(Shameless Plug) But can you check out Make Money On The Internet

Let me know if that is cool for a page to be seen before the merchant's page. The PPC Co. I was going through wouldn't accept just a straight link to the offer... plus this offers me much more detailed stats on my side.

I await your input!!!

Sincerely,
Bill

Are you talking about the please wait page that loads for half a second? Most advertisers who wont allow direct linking do so for many reasons, one being it affects their google ad, and two that they want to be one more click away to help with their conversions. You should ask the advertiser if thats acceptable

Ok, yes this is not in your network... but I figured something out...

Using a banner on the new redirect page Make Money On The Internet

And then using a Meta Refresh Redirect to the URL of said banner on the site with a 2 second delay in refresh....

What do you think about that?

This is not to "deflect" the advertiser from seeing something, I just cant use like tiny URL for PPC (not allowed by most)

And my triple-four url looks more appealing in PPC type stuff...

Looking for general comments.

Yes, thats correct. Because long affiliate links do not look good in the PPC link... Too long...
And they reject shit like tiny url... stuff like that.
Do you think the advertiser would just let me put a copy of their page on my main index? Or is what I'm doing ok with the redirect.

Note: The redirect lasts 1.5-3 seconds.
In that time a loading screen shows...
Plus the advertisers banner.
I have a Redirect in my Meta tags that forwards the visitor automatically to the advertiser's pitch page.

I dunno... FTW please help lol

This may not be allowed on certain networks but it is allowed on others.

Just saying don't give up the idea if that is what you want to do.

Just ask your affiliate manager if the offer can be prepopulated.

I know of alot of zip and email submits that can be prepopulated that pay anywhere from .80 to 1.25.

Couldn't you either use a different redirector/url shrinker like sndme.com uxvu.com or nuurl.us - there are lots, or better just set up your own landing page that redirects immediately instead of pausing?

I think there's some merit t that, though I'm not sure.
Google wants the 'destination' page to be the same as what's shown in the ad.

I am 98% positive that doing it the way you are doing eliminates the need for complex landing pages if you want to do a version of direct linking, which effectively gets the visitor to the merchant's page. I read that pn a forum not sure which, but I think for quality score purposes, the landing page should have enough content to pass the QS BS. And once you redirect, customers only see it for a split second and wind up on the merchant's page.

Thing is, I'm not using google CPC... fuck them and their 30 mill contest to send some dildo to mars or the moon (what-the-fuck-ever)

I see it as a simply redirect to the main sales landing page... I don't need to worry about QS and other non-sense bullshit everyone else worries about....

I think we'll be good- I post stats in a new thread once I see how this works out...

Thanks for the help xdhirax +1

Thanks for the response Mike. I see your point, since I'm sure people could abuse it. At the same time, it would help with conversions with the "Current Events Surveys" strategy SeoDave has been posting about. People get tired of choosing between an IPOD and a ZUNE, the Emmy's or the Grammy's, Paper or Plastic...but if they just got done answering a survey about something new and fresh, and all they had to do was click submit one more time, the advertisers would get their conversions and I would get money.

Thanks again.
