Hello

I found this forum a week ago, learned a lot. I've been doing a lot of reading for a couple months now, so I got a pretty good idea of what I want to do, etc. My question's are probably simple.

Currently I have a just 1 domain which is not being used for anything and I have free hosting for any sites I do(have a friend that runs a hosting company).

I want to join some of the affiliate programs like azoogle, copeac, etc. to find out what kind of promotions I can make sites around etc. I see most of them want to know or see current sites you may have running.

How can I find out what kind of programs they are pushing if Im not accepted.

& second, Whats the response on using subdomain's for my main domain to make mini sites to promote programs?

Sorry If this is long winded, Thanks for the guidance.
David

My first website was a free blog on blogger.

After I made about 3 posts I used it to sign up for adsense and CJ. I've since signed up with Copeac and several other networks. I'd guess that you can get accepted into most programs without a website. If you really need one, just set up some kind of blog and point them in that direction.

subdomains are treated as separate entities. However, if you do something shady and google bans the domain, all your subdomains will be effected too. As with anything, there's pros and cons. Buying lots of domains is better but expensive to start.

Thanks for the replies.

I definitely don't plan on doing anything shady adsense wise or anything else. I was mostly curious of obtaining a way to see what kind of offers are around so I can find some site idea's that fit into them.

I was just going to do sub-domains to start, and worry about actual domain names later since I am working with a budget.

Thanks
David

My first website was also a free Wordpress blog and it is very easy then to add adsense after just a few posts with good original content.

I believe also you can get accepted into most programs without a website.

If you use subdomains for different offers, remember that your root domain will still be part of the Display URL in a PPC campaign. I've heard that the Display URL is the second thing searchers look at after the headline, so if the domain name seems unrelated to your offer that could hurt your clickthrough-rate.

Use subdomains first and once they start making money, purchase new domains with the profits. Soon the $10 or so to purchase a domain will seem like nothing.
