Hi, we are researching and interviewing some developers about creating a coupon/deal website and were wondering if anyone experienced in development can tell us which CMS solution are sites like offers.com and couponcabin.com using?

Those sites are large and will have there own custom solution.

If you want to save some money on customizing your own, purchase one of the current cms coupon scripts out there and just have a developer modify it to fit your needs.

You can't use a CMS for that. Well you can...anything is possible - but you just wouldn't even want too.

Build it in Ruby On Rails, find a team on odesk.com and expect to fork out $15k+ easily.

Ruby on Rails? never heard of that solution. I am already getting bids within odesk and elance in the range of $1500-$4000. Problem is have not found anyone trustworthy enough. Seems like most represent larger design companies and are middlemen.
