Anyone here run traffic through cpaway.com? Noticed the new ad here, and was wondering if they have any unique selling points, if anyone here runs with them.

What I could find so far is that it's run by Tom Dietzel, who ran a ton of incentive sites, and before that ran a pretty large server reseller operation reselling for LayeredTech (and I had a server through that company, Tomsyer, back in 2003 or something like that). I'd be hesistant to run anything through a network that's connected with a bunch of incentive sites if I'm not running incent offers, and though I formerly had some experience with Tom in another industry, he seemingly ditched his reseller operation and turned over all clients to LayeredTech without explanation (and shit, I would have bought out those clients if it had been offered for sale).

Anyone have positive experiences with cpaway, or am I right to be wary?

I probably don't need another CPA network to join, but I always like to have new networks to split test offers in.

Wow good ol' tomsyer days....
Your facts are a bit twisted, we actually sold the assets to LT, for a decent sales amount after a 2 day meeting in Fort Lauderdale with Todd (the president at the time) and Michael(the CEO and General Console of LT at the time). We negotiated a price and did the transition. The transition was messy though due to their software changes that were taking place at the same time. Sadly there was no way to make it better. Different Industry, different ball game.

Yes I do own some incentive sites, no the network is not focused on 100% incentives. Like 9 out of 10 other networks, we do have incentive friendly campaigns though. If you would like a credit app to be filled out before running our stuff - become an affiliate then send over a credit app to your AM once approved, and we will be happy to return it to you.

Sorry about the misunderstanding re: the Tomsyer sale - Communication was quite sparse at the time, and rumors had been flying, especially with LT's characterization of the deal as a "transfer" and not sale.

Thanks for the info.

NP - So Wild, though you were a customer of mine -- If only the Profit % in that business was decent and not so cut throat, I'd probably still be going strong or would have been able to sell out for much more.. Just got tired of working all day every day for peanuts.

I also resold servers at the time - Profit margin was probably 10-25% on most servers with upgrades marked up a bit more, but shared hosting was where the really good margins were. Then again, shared hosting required a lot more work to keep things up, where dedicated clients on average rarely required any work besides billing support. Glad I sold my biz and got out when I did, but if I had only known then what I know now about affiliate marketing, things would be a lot different.

Tom - why is there not a page on cpaway that shows a summary of all currently promoted offers with clicks, leads, ctr, epc. Its a pain in the ass to see how well an offer is doing. It seems like something basic that you guys are lacking.

Yes that is normal at bigger and older similar CPA networks...

Implement as many filtering options as possible.

Good Suggestions - I will see if I get our dev guy to implement those into our user interface soon. I'm limited with my development ability, granted it is growing daily, I still have to rely on the dev team to add basic yet fancy functions such as that.

What tracking system is cpaway running?
It was originally based of Affiliate Network Pro, but that software was terrible out of the box that we had re-wrote about 98% of the original code, so at this point it is pretty custom. We spent quite a while re-developing the mess that software was in.
