I got approved from CPMstar the other day and I got some shitty CPM rates, like 0,04$ for 728x90 banner in the header. What's your experience with them?

Any other alternative?

They told me that they couldn't beat the eCPMs I was seeing from adsense. From the sound of things, their site skins perform significantly better.

All of the gaming advertising networks seem to produce atrocious eCPMs. I'm still looking for something to beat adsense.

I am all into gaming so what i tell you might help you.

Traditional banners cant be beaten by any network against adsense.

What you can look for are popunders ( up to 15$ ecpm for tier 1 traffic ) and siteskins maybe 1-2 ecpm$ if your traffic is tier1-2 based.

Other than that try tingering with your placements to get a better result from adsense on high spots and use secondary networks ( cpmstar is mostly cpa based so try some cpc networks for low spots )
for lower spots
Hope it helps

Why people even try to sell on CPM or use adsense ? Does that mean that gaming CPA offers sucks most of the time EPC wise ? I tried gaming 2-3 years ago never had any luck, was break even at best

I'm finding that exchanges and networks that allow you to set your own price floors are the way to go. You might not get a 100% fill rate, but you can significantly increase your revenue for a segment of your traffic.
