so i happen to be new here and i know you probably wanna rip me a new asshole BUT...

i'm ok with that, in fact, i need a new asshole or two.

i just finished a new site and i really need some critiquing.

give it to me straight, dont gloss it over like some warriorforum pussies. i wouldn't dare post this there because i know i'd get roses and fairies.

Looks a little too boring and scattered for me. When I first go to it I get confused and don't know where to look. I'd say that you need to work on the flow of the site. It looks like you have 3 different headlines in a row on the top.
 
I have a couple of acer 24" flatscreen monitors, and they tend to be a little bright but that green is painful to look at on em.

Also like the above guy said get the flow to where people know exactly what to do when they get there.
 
i see your still working on it. But to make it look good put a nice background. Also change the logo i think it looks to plain. Keep on working nigga!

quick question: do you think the opt-in form would be too irritating on the front page, and if not where on the home page should i put it
 
Dude, your new theme is still so 2005 (or worse)....

As for the opt-in form, You got the right idea. I wouldn't see a problem with putting it in one of your narrow columns like you've done (placed in the right column).

na man I like the theme. who cares if it doesn't have shiny reflections and whistles. it's simple and effective.
 
thanks partyhat... it looked worse last night haha so i cleaned it up a little bit. i guess what i like about atahualpa is how customizable it is so i just messed with it until i got a look i liked
 
You have to start somewhere, bud. Good job so far.

1. Don't be afraid to right-align a few pictures in your actual content area. They make the site more professional, help the users "get it", and make the text easier to read.

2. Your top menu disappears. The text is too tiny and I'd put a green or black background color on it or something so it sticks out.
 
haha, ok, thank you all for the help.

ChrisS, good points, i'll all-caps the menu and make the text a little bigger. as for images, i'll look at other blogs and try to find a couple fitting ones. thanks

premium, yes, i realize the design sucks which is why i started this thread haha. any recommendations? i'm gonna work on it most of the day today.
