Looks like there's enough interest for a meetup in Dallas.

I'm thinking either next Wed or Thursday (it could even be a two weeks from now if people need to time to schedule around real life commitments.) As far as venues I'm down for Downtown/Uptown area, Addison area or maybe Trinity Hall at Mockingbird station. It will have to be in the evening, 6:30 or 7:00 since I ain't ballin' the IM full time yet and still have a day job.

There won't be speakers or sponsors like the fancy pants a4d shindig :p (but if any networks want to sponsor my bar tab I'm all ears), just beer and conversation about IM, entrepreneurism, and general bs'ing.

Anybody that wants to come, let's try and get a consensus about date/venue/time by tomorrow-ish and then I'll post a new thread with the exact details in the title.
 


i'm down. Im still underage so I wont be able to go into any bars after which isnt a huge deal for me. I'm sure if we got enough people (which is easily possible) someone would be able to come in and sponsor something.

How underage are you, are we talking close to 19 or closer to 13? Most bars/pubs don't card but any of the Fox and Hound locations do so that's good to know, I know you'd be able to get into Trinity.

I guess we'll see how many respondents there are before determining if a bar/pub with a few tables put together wouldn't be big enough, as well as if any networks want to make it a little more formal.

lol, didn't see this one coming.

It will be two hour drive for me, but since I have never been to Dallas, I'll make it a road trip.

I can do any day and afternoon/evening works better for me because my sleeping schedule is all messed up.

As far as date, just make sure it doesn't conflict with adtech. April 19 to 21
 
I'm 19 so I can't do any drinking but I'd be up for it if we did it on a Thursday, my Weds nights are usually pretty packed.
 
If it does look like we get some interest in something a little more formalized, we can do it at Cape Buffalo, a large bar/pool hall in Addison. in one of their meeting rooms, I just checked and the small room for 25 - 30 people is $30/hour or the bigger room for 50 - 60 people is $60/hour.

I might have a contact I could tap for some kind of sponsorship but things have changed a lot since I was there, I'd rather see if any networks would want to attach their name, maybe let somebody speak if they wanted to... food for thought.
 
Old fart here too. Can't make it next week since I'm out of town. keep me in the loop for the future though. Can't wait to see what kind of weak asses are actually hiding under all this shit talking!
 
Dylan with RevenueAds Affiliate here were out of Oklahoma City. I know that's not Dallas or Texas, but were always down in Dallas for all types of things. We would def be interested in attending and meeting everybody in the area and even throwing some sponsor dollars at the event so we can set it off. Let me know what we can do ? And the dates your thinking.

You can start with strippers. Not the Spearmint Rhino kind either. Nooooo. Dirty, Nasty, Skanky types that put out.
