And every single one of their competitors subsequently want to purchase links from you.

Quite a luctrative little side business this.

Throw up a site with some content and get some Pagerank, sell a link once and then sit back as they come running with their $150-$200 a link offers. Not bad for zero effort. Most will provide content as well.

An email came to me wanting to a buy a casino link and it was a parked page, I kindly told them it is a parked page.

This same exact thing happened to me, no joke.

No joke, this can be quite luctrative. Big pockets on those casinos and buying links in bulk, but the great thing is that they do all the work for you.

Yeah, same thing with sexual health, payday loans, weight loss, etc... if you have a quality blog with decent PR/DA, they'll find you, even if you have 12 UVs per month lol... the key to be able to charge high is to make it look super legit, with a FB fan page, Twitter and G+, mailing list, etc...

Do you setup multiple sites just for this purpose?

I just had a site I developed for the heck of it and then one contacted me, then I got like 4-5 other link sales out of like 6-7 people that contact me.

Not on purpose, but it could be a nice little black hattish strategy. Buy expired domain and set up a site which looks like a genuine magazine style site, then add a contact email and just link randomly to a casino site. Then the competitors will see the link and attemt to match and exceed and contact you for it.

Agreed. Some of my early hobby sites fit this criteria and have been long gone due to penguin/panda. Still work as link opps.

Good post and spot on. You can do stuff like this all day long once you get a decent site up that looks like it was designed for real users and not to sell links. Online casinos are probably the easiest targets and the strategy above is about perfect. They will find you after a competitor buys a link for sure.

If the site is decent I would predict you could easily sell 2 links per week in blogposts without much effort at all. If you want to hit up the casino / poker affiliates then you especially need to make your blog posts look like they are written for visitors and not to sell links. You could probably sell links for around $100 per blog post to established affiliates in that niche. Assuming the site looked like it was worth it and not every single post was an obvious link sale.

Step 1: Buy aged domain with PR7
Step 2: Make it into a casino /insurance/payday loans/ blog or anything with high CPC
Step 3: Wait
Step 4: Sell sidebar/homepage links for a $50-100 monthly fee
Step 5: Repeat

I used to make $200 a month from TLA back in 2007/8. That's half of the cost (TLA takes half) and then sell annual placements directly to larger firms for about $500 a pop.

This was on a sports forum.
