I've got a lot of blogs I'm managing and my database has the ability to support multiple blogs by using a sub folder.

Does anyone who's experienced at managing databases have advice on the best structure.

-Unique Database for each site?
-Multiple sites in one database?

Unique Database for each site is the one I would go for because it makes the sites more transferable and easier to sell etc... also with shared dbs if one site gets hacked they all do or if one site goes down they all do as its on a shared db.

They aren't huge. I'm not doing spammy blogs. These are sites with decent keyword domains that I want to build in to authoritative sites.

So eventually each one will have 200-500 posts.

Don't bother splitting them into separate databases unless you plan to host the sites on different servers. If the database gets too big you can just get a dedicated mysql server.

Is it easy to transfer the files for one site to another database? I think I found a copy function that would send it to another database or I could export it.

I haven't done it cause I didn't want to screw it up. Is it easy?

It should be pretty easy, but if you never did this before try making some tests first to see how it goes and then go to your live domains/databases.

Good luck.
