I want to get a dating ppc campaign going on adwords...but i did a test today and got 200 clicks but only 1 lead. I was directlinking to the offer since it a was a test (didint want to make a review site if dating sucked) and i thought it would have converted but it didint. I did 66 clicks to eharmony, 66 to singlesnet and 66 clicks to true and only 1 lead on true. Does dating typically convert this bad direct linking? I know that dating is obviously a good niche since so many people are making alot from it so im thinking that review landing pages help alot, am i right? Should i just go ahead and spend time making a good landing site with reviews and that will help? Im a little iffy since my test failed miserably, and that doesnt seem normal. I shouldve gotten more then 1 lead
 


I myself promote dating. I promote the adult dating niche. I find that there are always horny guys trying to get laid. :) Regular dating doesn't convert as will but will convert. Try targeting a particular group like say mixed couples or gay, something like that.
 
Are the keywords related to dating? Did you run it on the content network? Maybe it got on some shitty site. You should be able to easily get 10% conversion on dating (on targeted keywords+good offer). Are you using a reputable network? Make sure the tracking wasn't messed up that day.

If you ran content network run a placement report to see where your ad showed up. Not too long ago I ran through like 200 clicks as well with 0 leads ( can't remember what offer ) but my site was showing up on some shitty image hosting site that had some well placed ad blocks.
 
i use search network, and i used the eharmony offer from copeac...and the singlesnet and true from azoogle.

also my keywords were all related to dating, seperated by christian, jew, lesbo, etc.. and they went to there own offer...gay went to the gay offer etc.. i cant believe it covnerted so bad tho...does direct linking suck that much with dating?
 
Did you use very broad terms? Did you use a lot of keywords and maybe missed a few stupid ones? Maybe you got some shitty broad term traffic...eg. "carbon dating". That true offer from Azoogle is converting for me at 12% today.
 
nope i used all exact match, had about 75k keywords they were all cleaned..trust me all the keywords were clean and good and seperated with good ads etc...the only thing that i can think of would be the offer not tracking, but they assured me it was.

and the keywords that got the clicks were relevant keywords, lesbian dating was one of the more popular ones.
 
Hey dude I did dating few weeks ago. i got 1 in 10 leads on average. There are few possibilities. 1st is that you are currently getting one person clicking few times on your ads. 2nd could be a dumbass newbie is testing the niche and again clicking on all your ads. 3rdly is that some days convert way lesser to other days. I remember one day I had 50 clicks and 1 conversion and next day 65 clicks and about 12 conversions. So keeping this in mind i would recommend you to track all the clicks.
 
yea im tracking clicks...im giving it one more test to see how it does with a diff offer
 
I'm doing adult dating, but the number may vary alot from day to day. Sometimes I don't see a lead in 1000 visitors, then 1:50 again for the next 1000 visitors, but it evens out nicely...so I'd give it another try.
 
wtf how did you direct link on the search network with adwords...? I always thought that would give you really poor quality score.

I'm not gonna lie- when I'm looking at porn online and using my fleshlight, I will sign up for free trial adult dating memberships and shit (no CC stuff though) just with the hope that maybe there's a little more content inside once you log in... I know how things work because I do affiliate marketing, and I try to tell my wiener that, but it controls my every move until I splatter my batter.

I haven't promoted adult dating, but I think I'll start!
