Hi

I know how much WF loves a straight forward post so here it is. I am literally 100% noob @ the internets

Website: integrated exercise physiology.com.au (I've taken the http out and added spaces so this won't be found in google as easily).

Goal: Rank my site #1 in google for a non-competitive keywords/phrases

Sydney Exercise Physiology
Sydney Exercise Physiologist

Reason: I did a bullshit degree (think sports science) but want to work in rehab. I've always had an interest in computers and, due to my last name starting with a Z, never got allowed into the web design classes in high school (filled alphabetically durr hurr). So now I've got more time I'm working on my website

Interesting project?

Smart fucking ass!

blow me

so first noob question, how legit is this idea?

Anyway

Post #1:

So you want to build a website

I did what everybody on every forum recommended, used Fantastico to and installed Wordpress. I've seen a few people say "I would rather just use my HTML edior because I'm used to that". Wrong. Give wordpress 60 min of your time and you will find it much better in almost every way.

What have I done so far

I am using the graphene theme, edited the footer slightly (you can see I've removed the powered by wordpress/graphene and added a link to my HTML site map). Any noobs out their, if you use google webmaster your site will need an XML sitemap which an SEO plugin (I'm using YoastSEO) will provide. Of course a HTML map is good for your viewers too

I recently switched the domain name, backed up my files but didn't exactly look up how to re-add them. No biggie, I wanted to rewrite them to be more SEO friendly anyway + a lot of the images were copyright and stolen. which is why I made....

I've also outsourced some work to a guy on BHW to create some interactive pdf's for my site. These will be referral forms completed by doctors, who have about -30sec time for anything besides patients.

What am I doing today?

I have another job interview in 3 hours, I'll try write another articles now quickly.

My goal is to get my 4 premier articles up ("Healthy living" a 5 part series, Back pain 2 part series, Shoulder Pain 2 part series, Hip pain 2 part series) then start doing more back linking to each article. They will be entirely unique content made by myself.

Curiously can anyone tell me why we spin articles and send them around the web? I can understand anchor text variation but not really the spinning portion.
